You may have already known the Chevrolet Volt is a safe vehicle. It is an IIHS Top Safety Pick and received a five star overall rating (the highest available) in government crash testing from the NHTSA. With the new 2013 Volt there are even more ways to keep you and your family safe on the road.
There are two options you can utilize, Safety Package 1 and Safety Package 2.
- Available Safety Package 1 includes auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, backup park assist and a backup camera.
- Available Safety Package 2 includes front park assist, forward collision alert and lane departure warning systems.
Additionally, there are several standard safety features inside the Volt such as: antilock brakes, stability control, front-seat side-impact airbags, front knee airbags and full-length side curtain airbags.
OnStar also comes standard in the Volt, which includes automatic crash notification, roadside assistance, remote door unlocking, stolen vehicle assistance and turn-by-turn navigation.
