For the second year in a row the Chevrolet Volt is the Vincentric Best Value in America in the electric/plug-in hybrid class. Vincentric says the cost of ownership is 4% lower than they expected over a 5 year period.
The Volt isn’t the only member of the GM family to be honored by Vincentric. The GM award winners are listed below.

I truely believe the Volt has become a political football by some politicians and the media talking heads that think they know more about the value and worth of the car over the expect professional test drivers and raters. I own a Volt and love every driving minute. It rides and handles like the top Mercedes, BMW and Lexus cars out there but at far less fuel usage. The Volt haters, regardless of political views, need to realize the Volt is an outstanding achievement and should receive support from all Americans. GM is an American company, making an oustanding American vehicle, by American workers here at home. GM is producing a car that the world wants to buy...way to go GM...

The volt is a clear winner on the engineering side, but this is the first real acknowledgement that it is also economical to run as well... Getting a Best is class award is a great way to validate your marketing hype.
The real problem with the volt is that it has become the poster child for the new push to move to a post petro world, worse yet it means that all those billions in oil companies subsidies given out yearly in the name of energy security are now meaningless.
Just look at the fuss they kicked up in congress when obama tried to trim $4 billion in giveaways from the 2011 budget, it's going to e a rocky road for the volt!

I love my volt! This tank of gas (purchased on January 8th) im just shy of 500mpg having used 6.5 gallons and having traveled over 3k miles (closing in on 3500).... if I didnt make a long trip every weekend or so i'd probably be closer to 1k mpg...... and at 80 cents per day electrical + maintence costs of my last 13 year old car, this car pays for itself ..... Also, the car beat out the Audi A4 in the rankings last week!

The Volt is a great car. Doesn't need any service except 25k oil change. I just got 43 miles on one charge driving into LA and back. 60 cents to go 43 miles.Torque and handling like no other.Drives like a top of the line BMW 3 series. Solid construction like a Mercedes or BMW. Drives the same after the gas engine starts(still gets 40 miles per gallon). Totally great car. Great lease price or if you buy it you get a 9k tax credit. Savings of about 2k over 3 years of service visits as compared to my Toyota Camry. 60 cents per day as opposed to $9.00 per day at 4.50 for 2 gallons of gas. The anti Volt propaganda must be originating from the.....Oil Companies??? ...or who? why? it's great!
