I bought my 2013 Volt in August, it's now November 15th and I haven't used a drop of GAS!! I figure I'm saving over $3,000 a year in gas that I used to spend on my old gas car.
Chey, could you please come out with one of these in a SUV model? I miss driving that and being up high! So, as soon as Ford comes out with there Escape EV model I will be trading in for that!!!
I'm constantly getting asked how I like my Volt at red lights, while I park or when I'm getting into my Volt after parking. I love to tell people that this is the best car I've ever owned and I highly recommened a Volt to anyone, especially if they're a city driver like me. 32 miles RT to work and home. (except for the winter months) I have to charge at work and at home in order to drive on electric only. Wish they could extend the range more so I can make it to work and home on one charge.
My only complaint, is that charging stations like Blink and Charge Point, they charge from $1.00 - $2.00 per hour, but at home it's only 10 cents an hour, so that's like a 100 to 150% mark up, REALLY????
I think more EV drivers would use these charging stations if they were free or like 25 cents an hour!
Ok, so all in all I do love my Volt, just wish it was easier and cheaper to charge when not at home.
